PCM Building Materials have been widely used in passive house for energy saving and thermal comfort purpose. Energy demand for heating and cooling of buildings can be minimized through integration PCM into building materials as a building thermal energy storage system. Phase change material can be in many different forms and types for building material.
For example, solid/liquid organic PCM or inorganic PCM can be encapsulated into pouches or in HDPE panels and further to be used in radiant heating floor system or wall, ceiling panel. In addition, microencapsulated PCM are easier for integration with building material without worrying about the PCM leakage since they are solid in form. Stackable PCM plate, the plate can be filled with inorganic PCM or organic PCM / PCM gel. Fiber enchanced alumnium film is used to further make the plate fire resistant for construction application by organic pcm filling.

Standard size: 60*60cm, Filling amount: 1.5kg~3kg solid-solid gel PCM per square meter.
The construction PCM blanket can be cut into small sizes because the filling material is a solid-solid composite PCM without leakage even in its liquid status. Seal the edge with a fire-resistant tape to keep its fire resistant level at B1.
It is a better solution compared to solid-liquid PCM blanket.
